SAFENAV TEAM SHOWCASES INNOVATION AT IGARSS 2024

From July 7-12, 2024, the SafeNav Project Team proudly participated in the International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS) held in Athens, Greece.

The paper, titled "Near-Real-Time Earth Observation Data Assimilation for Ocean Currents," authored by Shahbaz Baig, Dr. Waqas Qazi, and Rafia Mumtaz, in collaboration with project partner Offshore Monitoring Limited, was featured in the session "Ocean Surface Winds and Currents IV." The presentation highlighted innovative methods for utilizing earth observation data to enhance the accuracy of ocean current predictions, contributing to safer and more efficient maritime navigation.

The SafeNav team's presence at IGARSS 2024 underscores their unwavering commitment to promoting safe navigation through geoscience and remote sensing technology advancements.
