Our Partners:

We proudly collaborate with companies and institutions shaping the future to Enhance Safer Navigation at Sea today, with stepping stones towards the autonomous shipping levels (MASS Levels)

Array of logos for various organizations including DNV, OSM Innovation, Global Maritime Services, imec, Danos, Ladar Ltd, University of Rijeka, Greenov, Naval Group, Università di Genova, Sayfr, and Sirehna.

The Challenge

2,500+ collisions/year resulting in billions costs & many lives lost

No Decision Support System (DSS) Co-Pilot available for Navigators to assist them in how to avoid collision

Higher traffic density & larger vessels

Alarm fatigue & mental overload for crew

Autonomy is desired but challenging when each system only works separately

Why now?

15 years

Since the last “new tool” for navigation was implemented onboard (ECDIS)

Maritime & global regulation changes

Necessitating

next-gen navigation systems, some already by 2027, and global MASS regulations by 2030 and 2032

The market and regulators are primed for

Bridging the gap

between today’s tech & autonomous navigation

Technology

Advancements are now ready to be pushed to new limits and therefore the time is right for SafeNav

“Navigate smarter, lower the risks, avoid collisions, Save Lifes at Sea”

Co-Founded by European Commission & UK Research and Innovation Program - Horizon Europe

SafeNav emerged as a visionary project on a napkin.

Our Founder & CEO found a perfect Proposal Call in the European Commission Horizon Europe Portal. With the vision clear, a consortium and high value partners were put together with an ambitious project plan, objectives and milestones. Successful with our application, we got Co-Funded by the European Union and UK Research and Innovation, with a clear mission:

To revolutionize maritime navigation to Enhance Safer Navigation at Sea today and into the future.

The SafeNav Platform has grown into a groundbreaking system, driven by experience and cutting-edge technologies such as AI, with a global network of partners of Captains, Navigators, Software Engineers, Scientists and industry leaders in the maritime domain.
