SAFENAV PROJECT MEETING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF RIJEKA: ADVANCING AUTONOMOUS NAVIGATION

The SafeNav Project held a series of meetings at the University of Rijeka (UNIRI) from July 3rd to 6th. Representatives from the University of Genova (UNIGE), including Prof. Michele Martelli and Prof. Massimo Figari, joined their counterparts from UNIRI, Prof. Srdan Zuskin, Prof. Igor Rudan, and Dr. Ivan Vilic, for in-depth discussions.

The focus was on integrating various modules into the SafeNav decision support system and addressing worst-case scenarios and hazards for the anti-collision system. The team also planned future publications to disseminate SafeNav activities scientifically and explored the future of autonomous navigation, emphasizing ethics and social impacts.
