Career Day hosted by the Faculty of Maritime Studies at the University of Rijeka, Croatia

The Faculty of Maritime Studies at the University of Rijeka, Croatia, a proud partner of the SafeNav Project, hosted its annual Career Day on Wednesday, April 24th. This event provided a unique opportunity for students to connect with a diverse array of companies in the maritime industry, state institutions, and other maritime-related organizations. Celebrating its 11th year, Career Day once again demonstrated the faculty's dedication to equipping its students with the dynamic challenges of the modern labor market.

A key highlight of Career Day was the interactive program, where students had the chance to visit 55 companies and institutions, engaging directly with their representatives. This hands-on approach enabled students to establish valuable connections, explore employment opportunities, and gain insights into career development within the maritime sector. Alongside these interactions, the event featured numerous lectures, workshops, and presentations showcasing the various activities of participating companies, including a presentation on the SafeNav project.

Prominent shipowners such as Chevron, TORM, Almi Tankers, OSM Thome, Carl Buttner, CMA CGM, MAERSK, MSC, COSCO Shipping, Columbia, Rederei Nord, Atlantic Lloyd, Boskalis, TOS, Royal, Atlantska plovidba, Tankerska plovidba, and JPS were present, further emphasizing the event's significance. Career Day not only fostered B2B cooperation between maritime companies and the Faculty of Maritime Studies Rijeka but also served as an essential platform for students to prepare for and navigate their future careers in the maritime industry.
