SAFENAV PROJECT PROGRESS – MARCH 2024

In March, the SafeNav 4th General Assembly, led by Project Coordinator Jacek Gruszka and host partner IMEC's representative David Van Hamme, featured informative presentations on project goals, development, and detailed discussions on work packages. The assembly emphasized project progress and fostered robust discussions on technical specifications and key deliverables, highlighting the collaborative spirit driving the project forward.

Alongside this assembly, the SafeNav Project Team also attended BlueInvest Day in Brussels. The team is now gearing up for participation in the upcoming Transport Research Arena Conference 2024 in Dublin, Ireland, underscoring their ongoing commitment to innovation and collaboration in the maritime industry.

The ambition of the three-year maritime project is to develop and test a highly innovative Collision Prevention Solution that will significantly reduce the probability of collisions and groundings, thereby enhancing safer navigation at sea for an existing and new generation of vessels that aim for remote operation or autonomously in the future.
