Momentum in the SafeNav Project continued in full swing in May, with project partners from UNIRI and UniGe submitting a paper for presentation in an upcoming martime-specific conference in Poland while another article is currently under review. On the software side, high fidelity designs for the SafeNav UX were shared for feedback and finalization. Dissemination and exploitation activities included preparation for the upcoming Nor-Shipping 2023 conference as well as work on video-based deliverable which is due at the end of August.
The Coordination Team, Work Packages Leaders, and Consortium Partners continue working collaboratively to achieve the Project milestones.
The ambition of the three-year maritime project is to develop and test a highly innovative Collision Prevention Solution that will significantly reduce the probability of collisions and groundings, thereby enhancing safer navigation at sea for an existing and new generation of vessels that aim for remote operation or autonomously in the future.
