In the SafeNav (SaferNavigation) Project’s fifth month, the consortium has decided on the date and location of the 2nd General Assembly meeting. Project partner, University of Rijeka’s Faculty of Maritime Studies (UNIRI), will host the 2nd General Assembly from the 15th to 17th March at the University of Rijeka in Croatia.
Project partners, University of Genoa (UNIGE) and University of Rijeka, Faculty of Maritime Studies (UNIRI) have also submitted a paper for consideration in the upcoming TRANSNAV 2023 conference.
Work Package leaders and their respective teams are preparing two deliverables for submission in February:
Technical team members are continuing collaborative work on achieving key project milestones.
The ambition of the three-year maritime project is to develop and test a highly innovative Collision Prevention Solution that will significantly reduce the probability of collisions and groundings, thereby enhancing safer navigation at sea for an existing and new generation of vessels that aim for remote operation or autonomously in the future.
