The Safer Navigation (SafeNav) Project 2nd General Assembly meeting was hosted by The Faculty of Maritime Studies at the University of Rijeka (UNIRI) in Rijeka Croatia, from the 15th to the 17th of March 2023. This meeting led to discussions about the project’s work packages, technical specifications and a visit the Research Center.
On the first day, the overall of the Project and technical specifications were shared by the Offshore Monitoring Limited (OSM) team. Detailed presentations on Work Packages were delivered and discussed during the day-long session. The second day included Work Package leaders delivering updates on their relevant work packages, followed by a special session about SafeNav Software Architecture moderated by Waqas Qazi (OSM) and R&D Lead Jas Powell (OSM). On the third and final day, the consortium partners, led by The Faculty of Maritime Studies at the University of Rijeka (UNIRI), visited the department’s Virtual Reality Simulator and Research Center and held workshops in groups.
